Katerina Momitsa is the artist behind the brand Káte. She works with the Ebru and marbling techniques.
Ebru is a traditional form of painting, well known in Anatolia for centuries. The design is created on the water and then captured on paper. The origin of the word is Persian and means "figure like a cloud".
Katerina’s first contact and studies with ebru were in Istanbul. Since then she has participated in several workshops of many ebru masters and has participated in various exhibitions.
In her art studio in Athens, she experiments with ebru and marbling techniques and applies them on various materials.
