Impressive earrings that hang gracefully off your ears. They are made of 24K gold-plated silver and adorned with pink zircons.
These earrings were inspired by the crown of the bridal attire in the region of Pogoni (Epirus) which was an integral part of “stolos”, the local bridal forehead jewelry in Byzantine style during the 19th and 20th century. Nobody had the privilege of owning the bridal jewelry, so it was being borrowed from village to village and from bride to bride.
The roosters represent the newlyweds and fertility and the traditional adornments have been revived influenced by art nouveau.
