A twill-woven and hand rolled scarf, made of 100% natural fine silk, adorned with the hand-designed floor plan of the Temple of Asclepius, a sanctuary in Epidaurus dedicated to Asclepius, the god of Medicine in ancient Greece.
Inspiration for this precious silk scarf was Epione, the wife of Asclepius. Her name derives from the word ηπιος (epios, "soothing"), and she was a personification of the care needed for recovery.
An elegant scarf with great symbolism that can complement your outfits around your neck, over your shoulders or as a headscarf.
It is made in the small Greek town of Soufli, where silk is grown from natural silkworm cocoons since antiquity. It has been sewn traditionally by hand in MIA PAPA's atelier in Athens.
